Size Charts

How to take your measurements

When measuring yourself please make sure that you wear shoes with the exact same heel height as what you plan to wear on your wedding day. If you plan to wear a stick-on backless bra on your wedding day please make sure you put one on when taking your measurements. Please wear any slimmers or underwear you plan to wear on your wedding day as slimmers for instance can significantly alter your measurements.

Don’t worry if some of your measurements aren’t the exact same as the numbers in the chart, just email us immediately when placing an order and send us your correct measurements where they differ from those stated in the charts. Please note that if we do not receive your measurements within 2 days from your order we will create your dress based on the measurements of the size you selected.

 

The following measurements are listed in the above Leya Marini size chart:

1.) Bust

Measure the circumference around the fullest part of your chest crossing over your nipples. Keep a finger spacing between your body and the measuring tape.

2.) Waist

Measure the circumference around your natural waist line, where you normally wear your skirts and trousers. Keep a finger spacing between your body and the measuring tape.

3.) Hips

Stand with your heels together and measure the circumference around the fullest part of your hips, make sure that the tape is around the fullest part at the back as well. Keep a finger spacing between your body and the measuring tape.

4.) Shoulder to waistline at the front

To help put a thin belt or a ribbon on your natural waist line where you measured your waist circumference. Stand up straight looking forward and measure the distance between your shoulder and your natural waist line ‘marked’ by the belt / ribbon at the FRONT across your chest. Please see the image below:

5.) Shoulder to waistline at the back

Stand up straight looking forward and measure the distance between your shoulder and your natural waist line ‘marked’ by the belt / ribbon at the BACK across your shoulder blade.

6.) Shoulder to nipple distance

Stand up straight looking forward and measure the distance between your shoulder and one of your nipples when looking straight ahead. It is important not to look down when taking this measurements as the tape would bend.

7.) Distance between nipples

Stand up straight looking forward and measure the distance between your two nipples.

8.) Bra cup height

Literally measure the height of your bra cup, which is the distance between the bottom of you breast and the top of your bra, please see our drawing for clarity.

9.) Width of back

The widest part of your back, the distance between your armpits measured across your shoulder blades.

10.) Arm length

Measure the distance between your shoulder and your wrist while bending your arm slightly.

11.) Bicep / arm

Measure the circumference around the widest part of your arm, around your bicep.

12.) Wrist

Measure the circumference around the narrowest part of your arm, around your wrist.

13.) Waistline to floor

Stand up straight looking forward and measure the distance between your natural waist line and the floor WHEN WEARING YOUR WEDDING SHOES! It is very important to wear your wedding shoes as they alter this measurement.
